Back to the Penn Relays

Ben Skrincosky '22 (Lane 1) prepares to lead off our season best 4 x 400 at Penn.

Philadelphia, PA - The CBA track team made their first trip to Penn Relays since 2019 (2020 and 2021 were cancelled due to the Covid 19 Pandemic). Not one athlete in our crew had been to Penn.

The highlight of the meet came in the 4 x 400. It was CBA's last race of the weekend but their best. The team of Ben Skrincosky '22, Matthew Herman '23, Aidan MacManus '23 and Joe Silvestri '22 ran a season best and the best time CBA's 4 x 400 quartet has run in over 2 years. They ran an overall time of 3:24.96 with splits of 52.11, 51.76, 50.33 and 50.78.

In the 4 x 800, the team of Nick Sullivan '23, Conor Clifford '24, Sean Lawson '23 and Matthew Herman '23 competed well and finished 6th in their heat. Splits were 2:01.07, 2:00.82, 2:03.78 and 2:02.52.

Conor Clifford '24 hands off to Sean Lawson '23 in the 4 x 800 at Penn.

In the 4 x 100, the team of Tyler Straley '23, Declan Picadio '23, Brian Askin '23 and Jake Zappala '23 ran a time of 46.03.

Tyler Mayerhoff '22 compete in the discus as well.

Our time at Penn was more than just racing. The boys shared great experiences on and off the track. The team has missed such amazing moments the past two years. The trip has already helped reignite our leaders.
