Colts Finish 2nd at State Meet

Middletown, NJ - The Colts lost the state championship for the first time since 2015 to a very good Union Catholic team. Union Catholic scored 139 to CBA's 114 over the two day meet.
The Colts had several state champions led by the jumpers. Kam Coleman '23 continued his incredible rise in the Triple Jump with a 47'0.5" for the win. That jump was #2 in meet history and is another school record for Kam. You see the video below. Coach Sanderson jumpers did not stop there. Chris Brown '22 won the high jump in a personal best of 6'6" and Ben Skrincosky '22 won the pole vault at 12'.
Cusick's throwers had a solid weekend as well. Jack Ryan '22 won the javelin and led a 1-2-6 finish with Jack Ostrowsky '23 and Code Abutel '23. Ryan won with a personal best of 177'. The dynamic duo of Tyler Mayerhoff '22 and Robert Manse III '22 finished 2-3 in the discus behind a 175'7" and 160'9" throws respectively. Their order switched in the shot, but places stayed the same. Manse tossed a 56'3" to Mayerhoff's 55'11.5" in the shot. They placed 2nd and 3rd and pulled fellow senior Hugh Straine to 4th place with a 51'1.5" throw.
