NJCTC Relays On Tap Friday

The 4 x 400 team of (left to right) Matt Herman '23, Sean Lawson '23, Kam Coleman '23 and Aidan MacManus '23 finished 3rd at the Bishop Loughlin Games. It is a NJ #3.

Staten Island, NY - The track team will cross state lines for the NJ Catholic Track Conference Relay meet this Friday, December 30th. The super fast Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex plays host and the meet starts at 4 pm. For the first time in meet history, non Catholic Track Conference teams have been invited and several public schools will attend. The boys will be competing in all events, marking the first time they will be competing as a full team for the season.

So far this season, the Colts have competed several meets, but not as a full team. The throwers competed at the Parisi Field Event meet. Nick Williams '24 led a 2-3-4 finish for the team with a 46'2" put of the shot. Everett Keali '24 and Anthony Price '23 both threw over 44'. Results can be found here.

The freshmen 4 x 400 of (left to right) Cole Flemming, Connor Growney, Vincent Price and Hanson Voegborlo took 3rd at Bishop Loughlin.

The sprinters have competed at the Bishop Loughlin Games. Kam Coleman '23 (Cornell '27) highlighted the meet with a 44'1.5" win in the triple jump. The team finished with a pair of thirds in the varsity and freshmen 4 x 400s. Here's a great video of the varsity 4 x 400.

Just prior to Christmas, the sprinters and jumpers attended The Shore Track Coaches Season Opener #2 at The Bubble in Toms River. Coleman took 2nd place in the high hurdles in 8.09 and the 4 x 200 team of Aidan MacManus '23, Kam Coleman '23, Matt Herman '23 and Sean Lawson '23 took the win in 1:35.11.
