Holmdel, NJ - The XC crew took home the title at the NJSIAA Meet of Champions for the 25th time. The state has only had 49 team titles, so CBA has won more than the rest of the state combined. The Meet of Champions began in 1972 with only an individual title. In 1973, the state added a team champion. For the record, the NJSIAA only had sectional level races in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic; In 2020 CBA was #1 in NJ, undefeated and won the Holmdel Invite, a replacement of the NJSIAA MOC.
The 2022 win was dominant. The boys scored a low of 44, 5th lowest in MOC history. Senior Nick Sullivan and sophomore Joe Barrett led us with 5th and 7th places, both ran all time times of 15:44 (#7) and 15:45 (#8). Juniors Jack Falkowski and Conor Clifford finished 15th and 20th and senior Lucas Ward brought home the win in 23rd place. The team averaged 16:07, the 5th best team time in meet history.
The 1979 CBA Team, the first to win the NJ MOC.
CBA's first victory came in 1979. Read a bit about that team here. Since 2010, the CBA XC team has won 10 of 12 titles.
